1. About this statement
This statement applies to the Spirit Advisory Ltd website at [https://www.spiritaeg.com/] ("the Website"), operated by Spirit Advisory Ltd ("Spirit", "we", "our", or "us").
We want as many people as possible to be able to use the Website. The statement explains how accessible we aim to make the site, where we know we fall short, and how to contact us if you experience a barrier or need information in a different format.
This statement does not cover the Spirit platform, which will have its own accessibility statement when it launches.
2. Our commitment
We are committed to making the Website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities and people using assistive technologies. We believe accessibility is part of good design, not an add-on, and we treat accessibility issues as bugs to be fixed.
We follow the principles of the Equality Act 2010, which protects people from discrimination and requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments.
3. The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at Level AA — the international standard used by the UK Government and most public-sector and private-sector organisations.
WCAG 2.2 AA covers four principles. Our work focuses on ensuring the Website is:
Perceivable — content can be seen and heard, including by people using assistive technologies
Operable — the site can be navigated using a keyboard, voice, switch, or touch
Understandable — text is clear, and forms behave predictably
Robust — content works with the major browsers and assistive technologies
4. What we do to make the Website accessible
The Website is built on Squarespace, which provides accessibility features at the platform level. In addition, we have sought to:
Use clear, plain language and consistent navigation
Provide alternative text for meaningful images
Aim for colour contrast to meet WCAG AA ratios for body text and interactive elements
Make all interactive elements reachable using a keyboard
Label form fields clearly and announce errors in a way that assistive technologies can read
Avoid auto-playing audio or video, and avoid content that flashes more than three times per second
Allow text to be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
5. How accessible the Website is
To be completed after a full accessibility audit of the live site. The points below are common areas where Squarespace-built sites can fall short and should be honestly reviewed before publication.
We know that parts of the Website may not be fully accessible. Specifically:
[Some images may not yet have descriptive alternative text]
[Some colour combinations in [specific area] may not meet AA contrast ratios at all sizes]
[Embedded third-party content (e.g. Google Forms used for the waitlist, embedded video or maps) is not under our direct control and may not meet WCAG 2.2 AA in every respect]
[Some decorative animations or parallax effects may be distracting and cannot currently be paused by the user]
[PDF documents published before 28th May 2026 may not be fully accessible to screen readers]
We are working to fix these issues. Where we cannot fully resolve a barrier, we will provide an alternative way to access the same information — please contact us using the details below.
6. Alternative formats and reasonable adjustments
If you cannot access part of the Website, please contact us, and we will provide the information in another format, free of charge. We can usually offer:
Plain-text email with the content you need
Large-print or alternative-format documents
A phone or video call to walk you through information
Please contact us at:
Email: [accessibility@spiritaeg.com]
Post: Spirit Advisory Ltd, 23 Riverside Studios, Amethyst Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE4 7YL
We aim to respond promptly.
7. Reporting an accessibility issue
We want to hear from you if you experience an accessibility barrier on the Website — even a small one. Reports help us prioritise fixes.
When you report an issue, please tell us:
The page or area of the Website where the issue happens
A short description of the problem and what you were trying to do
The device, browser, and assistive technology (if any) you were using
Contact us using the details in section 6. We aim to acknowledge your report within 5 working days and tell you when we expect to fix it.
8. Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010 in England, Scotland, and Wales. If you contact us about an accessibility issue and you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) for advice:
Telephone: 0808 800 0082
9. How we test the Website
We use a combination of automated tools, manual checks, and user feedback to identify accessibility issues. We aim to review this statement and re-test the Website at least once a year, and whenever the Website is significantly redesigned.
10. Preparation of this statement
This statement was first prepared on 28th May 2026. It was most recently reviewed on [DATE].
